Robert Brant is Co-Head of the firm’s Indigenous Projects & Transactions Group and a highly experienced corporate and commercial lawyer with a practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and project development involving Canada’s Indigenous economy. He advises a broad range of clients—including Canadian and international corporations, financial institutions, pension funds, Indigenous-owned businesses, and the economic development arms of Indigenous communities—on complex transactions across a range of sectors including energy and natural resources.

A sought-after speaker, Rob regularly presents on economic development issues impacting Canada’s Indigenous People. He is a proud member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, a Kanyen’kéha (Mohawk) community located between Toronto and Montreal, and brings both professional expertise and personal perspective to his work advancing Indigenous economic participation and partnership.

With more than 20 years of experience as the Managing Partner of the firm’s London, England office, Rob brings a calming assurance and uniquely global perspective to his work. His extensive international network and cross-border expertise enable him to craft innovative, practical solutions that meet the evolving needs of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients operating in Canada

Rob is an active leader in the business community. He serves as Co-Chair of the board of directors of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business and is the Co-Chair and a founder of the Canadian Indigenous Investment Summit held annually in London, England. He is also a member of the Board of Governors at Western University and a past Chair of both the Canada-UK Chamber of Commerce and the Maple Leaf Trust, where he continues to serve as a director.
