With a career spanning nearly 25 years in the Defense industry, Melissa is a seasoned professional with experience in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Program Management and Business Development.  

In her current role, as Senior Market Strategist at GDLS-Canada, she focuses on projects that align business objectives with corporate social responsibility. Most recently, Melissa lead the integrated business team that rapidly advanced GDLS-Canada from PAIR ‘Committed’ to ‘Silver’ status in just under two years’ time, making them the first purely defense focused business to achieve a certification. 

Passionate about fostering meaningful change, Melissa is dedicated to creating pathways for Indigenous communities across the country to take advantage of employment, business and support opportunities within the Defense space.
