Matthew Toner is the founder of OutputEase Inc., a Métis-owned consultancy that helps organizations eliminate bottlenecks, automate repetitive work, and build systems that scale. He supports clients through digital transformation: optimizing workflows, integrating AI tools, and developing custom software solutions. Matt holds a Joint Honours degree in Communication and Sociology from the University of Ottawa, where he developed a foundation in organizational dynamics and strategic communication.
Before founding OutputEase, Matt spent over five years in the federal government, including project management roles at Finance Canada and Public Services and Procurement Canada. His work spanned system development initiatives, cross-functional coordination, and process improvement within complex organizational environments. Earlier in his career, he served as Technical Coordinator at ilinniapaa Skills Development Centre in Iqaluit, managing digital platforms, CRM systems, and contributing to government proposal development.
Born in Iqaluit and raised in Rankin Inlet, Matt brings firsthand understanding of the dynamics, challenges, and opportunities facing remote communities. Now based in Ottawa, he bridges this lived experience with deep knowledge of federal processes and southern organizational systems, allowing him to design practical, culturally informed solutions tailored to each client’s context.
