Marc Meriläinen, the Toronto-based singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and all-around visionary better known as Nadjiwan is a member of the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation.

Transforming the sound of Indigenous music has been Nadjiwan’s goal from the very beginning, and his prodigious output has been recognized by many, including numerous award nominations and accolades.

His newest album Now Is The Right Time Of Year, recorded in his hometown of Thunder Bay, Ontario brings a sound that fuses classic rock energy and Indigenous storytelling. The album’s mix of powerful anthems and reflective songs showcases Meriläinen’s signature guitar work and production, celebrating renewal and the growing strength of Indigenous voices in music and culture.
