Brenda Dragon is the Founder and Lead of Aurora Heat, an Indigenous-owned social enterprise based in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories. A Dënesųłiné and French-Canadian entrepreneur, Brenda founded Aurora Heat in 2015 to create meaningful local employment while bringing the natural warmth of wild beaver fur into contemporary use. Today, Aurora Heat serves customers across Canada and the United States, and works with retailers, organizations and corporate partners. Brenda brings more than a decade of experience building an Indigenous business in the North and navigating the opportunities and challenges of procurement, growth and market access.
