Shannon Hanson is Coast Salish from the Klahoose First Nation located on a remote community of Cortes Island.  She brings over 25 years of experience working with Indigenous communities and building healthy and sustainable relationships and currently works as the Indigenous Relations Lead for an International company Acciona Infrastructure Canada Inc.

Helping thousands of Indigenous people over the years has been a huge part of the work Shannon has done in the past and has worked with many Indigenous communities within the Lower Mainland, Sunshine Coast, Sea to Sky and Fraser Valley and North Island creating economic, procurement and employment opportunities.

Part of her background includes Studying Self Governance with an Associate-Degree in First Nation Studies in addition to Indigenous Women in Leadership at the Banff Centre and Strategic, Advanced Management Strategy at the Sauder School of Business in addition to the Advanced Management Ch’nook Program at UBC. While developing policies for 2 ISET regions and facilitating many stakeholder.  Her work history includes working for Federal Government, Crown Corporation, Non-Profit Sector, Provincial Government, many Band Offices, Health Authority and Post Secondary Institutions and International company experience.

In addition to being the main point of contact for many Indigenous peoples, Industry, and several other stakeholders, Shannon will also focus on supporting Indigenous communities and a focus on collaborating with many stakeholders.
