A values-based leader with over 30 years of experience in Indigenous, government, and
community relations, Laurie, a member of the Gitxsan Nation, is passionate about creating
economic and social change through the participation of companies, governments, and
communities that have traditionally been at odds. Laurie has spent her career influencing diversity
and inclusion across various industries and inspiring connections that lead to balanced and
thoughtful partnerships between Industry and Indigenous communities. Laurie is a Director for
Denison Mines Ltd. and has previously held many Crown and not-for-profit board positions. She
holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and a Certificate in
Professional Fund Raising. Laurie has most recently earned the Chartered Director designation
(C.Dir.) from The Directors College at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University.
