Zoë LakeHospitality & Catering Manager for Compass Canada at Ernst & Young

Zoë Lake is a mixed-blood Mi’kmaw young professional living and working on Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee land. She is the second & third generation survivor of the Stolen Children of Canada and is currently on her own reconnection journey.

She is the granddaughter of Waawaate Waawaase Ikway (Elaine Berwald), Executive Director of the Niagara Chapter of Native Women. Elaine’s leadership, advocacy, and commitment to Indigenous women and community have been a guiding influence in Zoë’s reconnection.

Zoë is the founder of Lake & Co. Productions, an event planning and coordination company based in Tkaronto (Toronto). She also works full time as a contracted Hospitality and Catering Manager at Ernst & Young, where she supports corporate events and internal programming, oversees hospitality operations, and collaborates across teams to create inclusive, professional, and thoughtfully designed experiences. Her work is rooted in relationship-building and intentional space-making. Navigating both Indigenous and non-Indigenous worlds has shaped her perspective as a young professional.

Zoë is passionate about supporting Indigenous youth through honest conversations around identity, reconnection, and finding confidence within professional, safe, and creative spaces. She believes that visibility, lived experience, and storytelling are essential pathways toward healing and future leadership.
