    Heather J Barker studied Biochemistry & Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph and later a Masters degree in Toxicology. Her career began as a scientist developing new vaccines including those used for chicken pox and shingles. She moved into Regulatory & Government Affairs working for a number of multinational companies.

    In 2018, she had the opportunity to take a Global Vice President role in Amsterdam. There she sat on the Executive Leadership team and led a global department of 200+ employees. She was selected to hold one of ten industry seats on a High Level Roundtable working directly with the EU Commission to influence legislation.

    A lifelong learner Heather completed a Leading Through Change program at the International Business School in France and her “covid project” was to complete a two-year Organizational Coaching certification through a University in the Netherlands.

    Heather was the keynote speaker at two Global Women in Leadership Conferences and was invited to share her story in the book My Voice Vol 6. A champion of women she was a founding member of the Network of Executive Women Mentoring Committee and actively served on LEAD (Leading Executives Advancing Diversity).
